Feature: refresh 2012 documentary film

Follow the journey of six youth dance companies as they took on the challenge to create brand new work to music selected by some of the UK’s leading choreographers.

refresh is a performance opportunity for experienced youth dance groups produced by Sadler’s Wells and The Place. Six youth dance companies are set the challenge to create a new piece of work to music selected by leading choreographers. The work is then premiered at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, The Place on the final night of the biggest platform for new choreographic talent in the UK, Resolution!

For 2012, music was selected by Richard Alston, Kate Prince, Mark Baldwin, Tom Roden, Russell Maliphant and Frauke Requardt and the participating groups were
Cando2, Far From the Norm, Metamotion (Dance United’s Performance Company), A&R Company (Robia Brown & Ajani Johnson), Strut Youth Dance Company and Khronos (The BRIT School).
