Get down to Kingston upon Thames this week to see Luca Silvestrini’s Protein Dancers and local performers working together to present (In)visible Dancing in Clarence Street.

(In)visible Dancing is a street-based dance performance which literally grows bigger and bigger day by day. It starts off as a small event and increases in size every day; the first time it appears, it is barely recognizable as dance as it develops from what initially looks like incidental, even strange behaviour on the streets. About 30 minutes in length and performed twice a day, each time it is presented it becomes more ‘visible’, and, with Luca Silvestrini’s unique ability to create dance from the everyday, it gradually becomes a fully-fledged dance performance that engages with the architecture of each location and the behaviour of the passers-by. Finally (In)visible Dancing culminates in a thrilling Finale that brings together around a hundred local performers.

(In)visible Dancing is a free event. Performances are at 1.30pm and 4.30pm every day until 14th June. The finale is on Saturday 16th June at 3pm (runs 60 minutes).
