A.D. Dance Company, And We Gather
For And We Gather, A.D. Dance Company will be presenting two works, looking at the influence of gender within choreography and drawing inspiration from some of Britain’s greatest choreographers over the last 100 years from Marie Rambert to Wayne McGregor.
Firstly the company will be perform the exhilarating and emotionally charged And They Have Escaped choreographed by long standing company dancers Brett Murray and Chandelle Allen with direction by Artistic Director Holly Noble. This challenging and intense new piece takes the dancers in a completely new choreographic direction and tests their physical and mental limits as dancers. Using an amalgamation of electronica and strings, Chandelle Allen and Brett Murray draw on their contemporary roots to showcase the versatility and strength of the company.
The company will then present a re-working of last year’s Slowly We Collide. This classically influenced piece choreographed to the beautiful music of Joby Talbot explores the natural relationships that have developed between the dancers as they interweave with each other in a series of duets, trios and quartets taking the audience on a journey of emotions.
