BAC Theatre Spaces for hire, The Members’ Library is a large and airy room with good natural light suitable for a wide range of events. The room is accessed by the adjacent Members’ Library Cloakroom, an additional annex that can usefully provide a private space for refreshments or as an additional breakout space.

This is one of Battersea Arts Centre’s most sought after spaces. Painted in neutral colours with solid wood floor, this space is regularly hired for meetings, workshops, small drinks receptions, exhibitions and rehearsals. The set-up is entirely flexible depending on your requirements and the space can accommodate up to 50 guests.

The Members’ Library is also directly accessible from the Council Chamber, making it an ideal break out space.

Currently available for hire from 1 Aug – 25 Sep 2016, Jan 2017 and Aug – Sept 2017.

Our Council Chamber’s style makes it perfect for creative events or for anyone looking for something different. Steeped in political and theatrical history, it is located on the first floor, though the bustling foyer of theatre goers and accessible via the building’s impressive marble staircase.

The room includes a built-in PA system, rigging for AV equipment and lighting. Hire of the Council Chamber includes a spacious adjoining room that can be used as a breakout, catering, or bar area. It also receives the dumb waiter from our event kitchen on the ground floor. The Council Chamber also has direct access to the Member’s Library, which can be hired additionally – see the Members’ Library hire page for more information.

Black box theatre spaces, full rig and tech support available. Licensed bar/cafe with sofa area. Large and versatile space with retractable seating rake which can be taken away for rehearsal, dressing rooms, central heating/air con, available lighting rig and technician.

Disabled access
Nearby disabled parking, ramp and rail to the front door. Accessible toilets on the ground level. BAC welcomes working dogs .The main house is on the first floor. The only place where there is no access is the dressing room of one of the studios, as there are 6 steps up to it. If this causes difficulties BAC could try to accommodate anyone with access issues in the other studio or in the main house.

BAC is in Battersea in Wandsworth. The building is a short walk from Clapham Junction station, 10 mins by train from London Victoria and Waterloo, and also a short bus ride from Clapham Common tube station.

Underground Clapham Common, Northern line

Bus 345, 77, 77A, 156 and G1 stop on Lavender Hill outside BAC. 35, 37, 39, 49, 170, 219, 239, 295, 319, 337, 344, and C3 buses either terminate at, or go through Clapham Junction. BAC is then a 5 minute walk up Lavender Hill on the left hand side.

Parking Due to the fire we don’t currently have any parking spaces available, nearby streets are permit controlled.
