The Wheelchair Dance Sport Association (UK) or WDSA (UK) is the national governing body for wheelchair dance sport and wheelchair dance in the United Kingdom. WDSA (UK) is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee and is the representative body of wheelchair dance sport and wheelchair dance in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

Wheelchair Dancing is governed by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) and IPC Wheelchair Dance Sport Technical Committee using the International Dance Sport Federation’s (IDSF) modified rules. Wheelchair Dance Sport is a growing sport over the years with its roots going back to the late 60’s. Although initially a rehabilitation and recreational activity, it quickly developing into a competitive sport and today the Wheelchair Dance Sport has over 22 countries actively competing.

Wheelchair Dance Sport embraces a wide range of disabilities including paraplegics, spina bifida, amputees, brittle bones, deaf, blind, cerebral palsy and multiple sclerosis are just a few of the groups of people who can be involved. Able bodied dancers are eligible to compete with a wheelchair user partner and virtually everyone who can conceivably want to or can dance is encouraged to do so.
