Lucie Sheppard is a Bristol & London based dance filmmaker and moving image artist.
Lucie is a trained dancer and began her professional career as a recipient of the DCMS Jerwood Creative Bursary Scheme, where she worked as Programme Assistant at Siobhan Davies Dance.
Lucie has been employed as a filmmaker to create documentation and promotional films for a number of artists and organisations, including Sadler’s Wells Theatre, Siobhan Davies Dance, Phil King, Bath Dance, Avatâra Ayuso and Swindon Dance.
Her moving image work has been screened at New Art Exchange Gallery, Nottingham (2010), London Short Film Festival (2014), Dance Film Festival UK, London (2014), Homemade Film Festival, Bristol (2015), Danca em Foco, Brazil (2015), Movies by Movers, USA (2015), Athens Video Dance Project, Greece (2016).
Lucie is an Associate Artist at Swindon Dance, and has received support to develop a new dance film – A Sequence of Adjustments.
She has experience in filming; live performances, rehearsals, talks & events, documentaries, promos & showreels, multi-camera shoots. She has also collaborated with dance and music artists to create dance for camera works and music videos.
She her own equipment, including, editing software.
