Within the dance field he has designed for: Rambert Dance Company, The Royal Ballet, Javier De Frutos, Fin Walker, Akram Khan and Mavin Khoo, Ashley Page, Carol Brown, Matthew Hart, Mark Baldwin, Ricochet Dance Company, Candoco, Small Bones Dance Company, Protein Dance Company, London Contemporary Dance School. Edge, The Laban Centre, The National Youth Dance Company, Ballett Schindowski (Germany), The First Physical Theatre Company (South Africa), The School for Modern Dance in Denmark and The Rotterdam Dance Company. With future commissions for Charles Linehan and Candoco Dance Company.

Michael also teaches Lighting for Dance at Tertiary level for The School for Modern Dance in Denmark and Rhodes University in South Africa. He is a guest lecturer on the M.A. Scenography course at The Laban Centre.
Michael has an M.Sc in Architectural Lighting from The University College of London.
