East London Dance have got a great range of dance classes for adults and young people at Stratford Circus, delivered as part of the Newham Community, Education and Youth Service (NewCEYs).

Join in with their regular favourites, Contemporary and Creative Dance and Street Dance, or try out something a bit different. Every term East London Dance have a Guest Style that gives you the chance to try something new, bringing you everything from Bollywood to Ballet, Afro-Fusion to Swing Dance.

Ages 11-18

The Firm: ages 11-18
If you are young man aged 11 – 18 and want to learn moves that will turn heads, then join B-Boy Champion Ed ‘Octacon’ Stephen in one of the sickest dance groups in east London. You will be able to try out a range of dance styles including breaking, popping and locking. In a weekly class you will learn everything from freezing to freestyle, tricks to tips on battling. Come and have a go and learn power moves to make you stand out at the crowd!

Urban Contemporary: 13-17 year olds ONLY
Free technical training with ELYDC Artistic Director, Sara Dos Santos and Assistant Artist, Marvin Drew. East London Youth Dance Company is opening its doors for 13-17 year olds to train with them weekly in this new open technique class for people wanting to develop their skills in Urban Contemporary Dance.

Get Up & Groove: ages 14-19 with learning disabilities
If you’re a young person with a learning disability, Get Up and Groove is a dance group especially for you.
Brought to you by inspiring lead artist Charlene Low and supported by Laura Dajao, this is a fun class for dancers of all abilities. So why stay at home when you can Get Up & Groove?
