Amazonas Capoeira was founded in London by two sisters; Rilene (Vo) and Rejane (Brisa). They travelled to London in the early 1990’s as part of a group of performing artists touring the UK. After the completion of the tour the two sisters decided to put their energy and experience into creating their own Capoeira group: Amazonas Capoeira Academy (ACA).

With the support of Professor Boneco also of Amazonas Capoeira and Contra Mestre Zangado from Grupo Cordao de Ouro; they stage several international Capoeira events throughout the year, attracting people from all backgrounds
