Choreographer Richard Alston is to create dance for an exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery. His company will be performing in and around the first exhibition in the gallery to be dedicated entirely to sculpture – The Shape of Things to Come: New Sculpture.

The special one off event is presented by The Place and the Saatchi Gallery and takes place on Wednesday 7 September_._ It will be a promenade show, with the audience invited to discover dance episodes made in response to the scupture scattered throughout the exhibition.

The Shape of Things To Come: New Sculpture includes the work of 20 leading and emerging sculpture artists today, including David Altmejd, John Baldessari, David Batchelor, Peter Buggenhout, Berlinde De Bruyckere, Matthew Brannon, Bjorn Dahlem, Folkert de Jong, Roger Hiorns, Martin Honert, Thomas Houseago, Joanna Malinowska, Kris Martin, Matthew Monahan, Dirk Skreber, Anselm Reyle, Sterling Ruby, David Thorpe, Oscar Tuarzon and Rebecca Warren.
