News: The Flamenco Festival - Southern Spain at Sadler's Wells

Some purists may say true flamenco can only be experienced in the bodegas of Granada and Cordoba, but a ticket to the Sadler’s Wells Flamenco Festival will allow lovers of the art form to marvel at the fiery dance performed at its best. The Telegraph’s Patrick Sawer looks back at some of the Festival highlights.

The festival has become a firm favourite of the Saddler’s Wells, drawing large crowds of sophisticated dance aficionados who mingle with first, second and third generation Spanish migrants nostalgic for the taste of home. Their children, predominantly little girls, scurry down the aisles and through the lobby in flamenco outfits, desperate to see the routines they learn so painfully at their weekly flamenco classes, displayed in their full glory on stage.
