News: The Edinburgh Festival

The Edinburgh Festival opens next week ( – although fringe events are already well underway) and runs from 15 August to 5 September. The dance programme includes Fondation Jean-Pierre Perreault, Ballet West, USA, and the premiere of a new work by Akram Khan.

Ismene Brown examines the life and work of one of Britains most influential choreographers. ‘The story of Antony Tudor, the third man of 20th-century ballet, is as tortured and intriguing as any ballet he himself has devised.’ Telegraph, 2 Aug. His work will be performed by Ballet West and Rambert Dance Company as part of the festival.
