Kim Brandstrup talks about his new work for the Royal Ballet, which is inspired by Dostoevsky and has two very different casts, led by Carlos Acosta and Tom Whitehead.

Brandstrup talks to Ismene Brown about the process of developing the work: “You can’t do the story,” he says. “You can only do a few poignant moments. We’re all human animals at a particular level, and, if you can touch or inspire dancers at that subcutaneous, tactile level, that’s where the expressivity will come.” Read more in the Telegraph, 23 Apr 08
