Rambert Dance Company is back with another Rambert Revealed week, opening up their studios with a series of public events including talks, workshops, and classes. And this year will be more public than ever with a day of live-streamed events: Rambert Live.

On Wednesday 14 October, you can log-on to experience a day-in-the-life of the Marie Rambert Studio, and to see the different events that take place throughout a typical day at our London home.

Rambert Live begins with a morning contemporary dance class. You can watch rehearsals of their newest work – Kim Brandstrup’s Transfigured Night – the week before its premiere at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, and also of Christopher Bruce’s iconic Rolling Stones work Rooster. Plus there’ll be a live broadcast of the latest in their series of Rambert debates, asking how we level the playing field for female choreographers.

The full schedule for Rambert Live is as follows:

10.15 – 11.45am
Contemporary dance class led by former Merce Cunningham dancer Jeannie Steele

12 – 1pm
Rooster rehearsal with Christopher Bruce

1 – 2pm
Transfigured Night rehearsal with Mikaela Polley

2.15 – 3.15pm
Rooster rehearsal (repeated from 12pm)

3.15 – 4.15pm
Transfigured Night rehearsal (repeated from 1pm)

4.30 – 6pm
Rambert Debate: how do we level the playing field for female choreographers?

Drop by for a few minutes, or watch for as long as you like, and you’ll get an insight into how ideas, creative energy and sheer hard work come together in the process of creating dance.

You can also join in conversation throughout the day, share thoughts and ask questions on Twitter using the hashtag #RambertLive.
