News: Latitude line up

The Latitude Festival, which takes place in Suffolk from 16 – 19 July, includes an even greater range of dance this year, alongside the usual eclectic mix of music, comedy, poetry, film art and more.

Sadler’s Wells presentations on the Waterfront Stage include Hofesh Shechter’s latest work, The Art of Not Looking Back. His first work to feature an all female line up, arrives fresh from the Brighton Festival. A selection of poppers, lockers and street dance dance artists from this year’s Breakin’ Convention 09 will also be appearing and for those who just want to dance themselves, Sadler’s Wells Dance Club will be laying on specially created workshops in all kinds of dance including hip hop, bollywood, samba and flamenco.

The Royal Opera House ROH2 programme will also be at Latitude this year with Ballet Black in *Depouillement*, a newly commissioned work by Will Tuckett a*nd Choreographic Associates *Freddie Opoku-Addaie, Laila Diallo and Sarah Dowling presenting recent works on the Waterfront Stage. An extract of Will Tuckett’s popular childrens show Faeries, commissioned by ROH2 last year, is likely be even more magical in an al fresco woodland setting.
