English National Ballet reveals
… this summer’s dream team
A huge More O’Ferrall billboard poster is to be erected on the corner of Warwick Road and Cromwell Road in West London today (Monday 27 May) featuring eleven male dancers from English National Ballet wrapped only in their national flags, with the headline ‘Spot the Ball’. Each of the dancers represents a country that has qualified for the World Cup. The Company’s Artistic Director, Matz Skoog, is also, coincidently, Swedish.

The World Cup in Japan and Korea coincides with English National Ballet’s Season of Swan Lake at the , featuring 120 dancers on stage.
Commenting on the poster, Ian Butlin, Marketing Director for ENB said: “This poster is designed to appeal to all the ‘soccer widows’ out there who are sick of hearing about football. With 19 different nationalities amongst the dancers at English National Ballet, we managed to identify 11 men from countries that qualified for the World Cup, including, of course, one from England to make up our own World XI. ENB’s production of Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall offers 180 minutes of pure artistry and no penalty shoot outs – and a much more entertaining (and sexy) alternative”

The dancers in the poster are Jesus Pastor (Spain), Jean-Luc Burke (France), Jan-Erik (Sweden), Alberto Montesso (Italy), Shi-Ning Liu (China), Alexis Oliveira (Brazil), Gary Avis (England), Nils (Belgium), Trevor Schoonraad (South Africa), Cornell Callender (USA) and Dmitri Gruzdyev(Russia).
