Britain’s best known ballerina looks set to retire from the stage this summer.

Dates have just been announced for a special show: Darcey Bussell – Farewell presented by George Piper Dances and Sadler’s Wells – featuring Darcey with a stellar cast of guest dancers including long-time Royal Ballet partner Jonathan Cope, Ballet Boyz Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, Tamara Rojo, Roberto Bolle and Edward Watson. The programme will include: William Forsythe’s
*In the middle somewhat elevated* pas de deux; Christopher Wheeldon’s _*Tryst* _pas de deux and Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s _*Winter Dreams* _

Tickets went on sale yesterday for the performances and broke all box office records for Sadler’s Wells. There are a few tickets left for the performances on 15, 16 & 17 May – but Friday 18th has already sold out.

Darcey’s last scheduled appearance with the Royal Ballet – who she has danced with for 20 years – is on 8 June, in a triple bill which includes MacMillan’s Song of the Earth.
