News: Dancing in the Rain

Random International’s Rain Room installation allows you to walk through the rain without getting wet. Visitors to the exhibition can experience what it is like to control the rain, something we all wish we could do considering the weather we’ve had this year.

On four Sundays during the exhibition, dancers from Wayne McGregor / Random Dance respond to the Rain Room.

“thanks to some almost inconceivably ingenious digital technology involving motion sensor cameras – you can walk through their hundred square metres of falling raindrops without getting wet at all.” Read the full article, Telegraph, 1 Oct.12

Rain Room runs 4 October 2012 – 3 March 2013 at The Curve in the Barbican Centre Admission is free
Wayne McGregor / Random Dance dancers will perform on Sun 18 Nov, 2 Dec, 20 Jan, 24 Feb between 2pm and 5pm at regular intervals.
