As part of The Greenwich Dance and Trinity Laban Partnership supporting professional dance artists the two South East London based organisations support the creation of new work though their Compass Commissions programme. By the end of this year the Partnership will have presented five première performances as part of the scheme (which has received hundreds of applications) – including Dan Daw’s Beast at Greenwich Dance (6 & 7 November) and Sarah Dowling and Kath Duggan’s Us Then at Laban Theatre (19 & 20 November).

The partnership are now accepting applications for the third round of Compass Commissions – and a Q&A session for prospective applicants will be held this Thursday, 22 October, 6 – 7:00pm at the Laban Building, SE8 3DZ. To attend, email the Partnership Co-ordinator
lydia@greenwichdance.org.uk

Work will be commissioned from three strands – site-sensitive, theatre based, or work for a family audience.
As well as a minimum of £3000 commission fee, support includes rehearsal facilities for up to four weeks at Greenwich Dance or Trinity Laban to include up to three days of production time and technical support at the Laurie Grove Performance Lab; sharing opportunities mid-process as appropriate and performance opportunities.

The deadline for applications is Monday 16 November, at 10am.
