The City of London Festival was founded in the 60s, with the original aim of revitalising the cultural life of the City. Since then it has become established as one of the UK’s leading arts events, unexpectedly entertaining and inspiring the City’s workers, residents and visitors with special events and world-class artists in beautiful surroundings.

As part of the City of London Festival 2015, which runs from 22 June – 10 July, there will be over 100 free events in every corner of the City, with is a huge selection of dance, music, circus, street theatre and more at locations such as The Gherkin, Canary Wharf, Broadgate, The Grange, Devonshire Square, New Street Square and the Royal Exchange.

This year there’ll be flamenco from Nuevos Aires at The Gherkin and Balinese/Javanese dances from Lila Bhawa-Dance UK at Devonshire Square. Steel, concrete and motors meet in an unlikely way in Circus Geeks & PanGottic’s Project_Vee, with more circus from Amontonados Por Azar and Cie Marcel et ses Drôles de Femmes at Broadgate Circle.

Although events are free – some may need to be booked in advance due to limited space.
