After two controversial years as Director of Dance at the Paris Opera, renowned choreographer and dancer Benjamin Millepied is delighted to be returning to LA, ‘The city is a love story with me, the light, the crazy history of the place, and it feels full of possibilities.’

In 2012, when Millepied set up his LA company, L.A. Dance Project, he wanted to create a platform for his own choreography, ‘I wanted to create a new kind of organisation where you could be genuinely smart about the quality of work you put on, but also smart about the people who would support you.’

L.A. Dance Project returns to Sadler’s Wells with a much-anticipated mixed bill. Millepied presents the world premiere of the final instalment of his Gems Trilogy, the UK debut of his widely acclaimed Hearts & Arrows, both in collaboration with composer Philip Glass. Completing the bill is Harbor Me, choreographed by Sadler’s Wells Associate Artist Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
