Instead of the big ballet companies competing to become the most successful and the best, Judith Mackrell suggests an alternative model. One of cooperation and collaboration.

“Would it be impossible for companies such as ENB, the Royal and Birmingham Royal Ballet to address this by collaborating on limited tours of small-scale, contemporary ballets? Each could donate a few dancers, and a proportion of studio time and money.”
