4Dance 2003
Arts Council England and Channel 4 have jointly commissioned 11 new films in their first creative dance collaboration – to develop the genre of dance on film.

The films will be broadcast as part of 4Dance 2003, a four part series presented by William Trevitt and Michael Nunn (the Ballet Boyz), who will perform in three of the specially commissioned films. Each film features original choreography and some of them feature specially composed music too. The series will be broadcast in July and will also include 12 acquired films (to be confirmed), which have not been broadcast before as well as the 11 newly commissioned works.

The project aims to promote new talent. As well as the three films featuring the Ballet Boyz, commissions have been awarded to Tom Sapsford and the Honey Brothers; Alison Murray and Jonzi D; Mayuri Boonham; Chris Ho; Robert Hardy and John Rowley; Litza Bixler and Deveril and Alex Reuben and Afua Aweki. All the artists are residents in the United Kingdom, and have been selected for their diverse, innovative and high quality ideas.

4Dance 2003 will be produced by Anne Beresford and Margaret Williams at MJW Productions.
