English National Ballet start the new year with a short season of performances of Swan Lake at the London Coliseum. Whether you’re a dedicated ballet aficionado, or a first timer it’s guaranteed to be a thrilling spectacle.

We have three pairs of tickets for the opening night on Wednesday 7 January, when Lead Principal Alina Cojocaru will be joined by guest artist Ivan Vasiliev in the lead roles!

COMPETITION NOW CLOSED

Congratulations to the winners Rachel Denton, Jovana Radulovic & Chloe Blackmur. [The answer to the question Name the London venue where English National Ballet have regularly presented Swan Lake ‘in the round’ was the Royal Albert Hall]

This production of Swan Lake is choreographed by Derek Deane (after Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov), with additional choreography by Frederick Ashton. The production features exquisite dancing (the sight of over 20 ballerinas glide across the stage in perfect unison is always breathtaking), beautiful sets (design by Peter Farmer) and Tchaikovsky’s music played live by ENB’s orchestra.

Later in the run there’s a chance to see ENB’s artistic director Tamara Rojo dance with guest artist Alban Lendorf and other company dancers, including Elena Glurdjidze, Laurretta Summerscales, Fernanda Oliveira, Erina Takahashi, Arionel Vargas and Emerging Dancer winner Junor Souza, amongst others, in the lead roles.
