ReFresh, a U.Dance event run by London Youth Dance and The Place, saw six youth dance companies perform to music chosen by top choreographers including Wayne McGregor and Richard Alston pushing the total number of U.Dance performers to over 100,000 young people.

National Young Dance Ambassador, Chris Scott aged 20 said: “ReFresh is a brilliant event, the talent of young dancers who took part is breathtaking. U.Dance is a great way for young people to perform and helps create opportunities for young people, I hope it continues to grow in popularity”.

U.Dance is the national performance framework aiming to stimulate dance performance opportunities across England. U.Dance events are for five to 19 year-olds and range from school and community events to regional performances and large-scale national events. Event organisers can register their performances with U.Dance online for free and in return receive information to support the delivery of high-quality dance performances and become part of the national U.Dance network.
