    Press Review 4Lyndsey Winship, Evening Standard, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 10 - 12 January 2013

There’s also simple joy: a girl’s hair flying as she swings, swooping above our heads. In the audience you get a physical sense of the pleasure in that freedom, just as you feel the claustrophobic struggle of a man locked inside a glass tower,

  3. Resolution! - theMiddletonCorpus / AdagioconBrio / Rebecca Evans

    Press Review 3Zoe Anderson, Independent, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 10 January 2013

Evans has fun setting soloists against groups, with a man scrambling onto the shoulders of a marching corps, or pushing the dance into new directions.

  4. Cirque Du Soleil, Koozå at the Royal Albert Hall

    Press Review 3Louise Levene, Telegraph, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 8 January - 14 February 2013

The four-man, double-decker tightrope routine made a fantastic first act closer

  5. Fuerzabruta -Roundhouse

    Press Review 4Louise Levene, Telegraph, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 27 December - 26 January 2013

It’s a hugely enjoyable 75 minutes, but the directors’ continued aversion to any unifying theme or narrative left me feeling greedily unsatisfied.

  6. Ockham's Razor, Not Until We Are Lost - Platform Theatre

    Press Review 3Emily Jupp, Independent, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 10 - 12 January 2013

The group are at their best when they all work together, then they cease to be separate bodies and become a constantly flowing human mass.

    Press Review 4Judith Mackrell, Guardian, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 9 - 19 January 2013

Still, if the demands of the job are creeping into Rojo’s dancing, the rest of the company seems to be flourishing. Vadim Muntagirov, as her Prince Désiré, continues to mature – his former awkward corners evened out in dancing of lean virtuosity.

  8. English National Ballet, The Sleeping Beauty - London Coliseum

    Press Review 4Neil Norman, Daily Express, Friday 11 January 2013Performance 9 - 19 January 2013

Rojo is a soulful, intense Aurora, soft and pliable in the solos and ably partnered by a slightly nervous Muntagirov. When freed of the responsibility of handling his boss he delivers solos of breathtaking virtuosity.

  9. Cirque Du Soleil 'Kooza' contortionists

Cirque Du Soleil, Koozå at the Royal Albert Hall

    Graham Watts, Friday 11 January 2013 — Performance: 8 January - 14 February 2013

'Koozå' may descend into showing a pantomime dog cock his leg at the audience but it is also portrays the most extraordinary Olympian gymnastic, acrobatic and athletic skills.. Continue Reading

So, a beautiful production, but not a gripping story, which means the dancing has to do all the work. I’d say Rojo and co just about pulled it off.

  12. English National Ballet - The Sleeping Beauty - London Coliseum

    Press Review 4Zoe Anderson, Independent, Thursday 10 January 2013Performance 9 - 19 January 2013

Tamara Rojo, who took over as the company’s director last year, made a miscast heroine, but the ballet around her looked radiant….Rojo is an established ballerina, a star presence with strong technique. She’s much too grande dame for Aurora…

  13. English National Ballet, The Sleeping Beauty - London Coliseum

    Press Review 4Clement Crisp, Financial Times, Thursday 10 January 2013Performance 9 - 19 January 2013

Vadim Muntagirov was a prince to treasure, dance and manner grandly assured, generous, noble. I offer my best compliments to James Streeter as Carabosse, a brilliant and memorable reading of the evil fairy

  14. Resolution! - Jacob Hobbs / Wolfgang / Cody’s Moving Group

Press Review 2Sanjoy Roy, Guardian, Thursday 10 January 2013Performance 8 January

I am Wolf by Francesca Roche and Tomos Young has a potentially lucid choreographic arc, two fluent dancers loping freely like wild animals and becoming more combative as they are gradually penned in.

  15. English National Ballet, The Sleeping Beauty - London Coliseum

    Press Review 4Mark Monahan, Telegraph, Thursday 10 January 2013Performance 9 - 19 January 2013

Daria Klimentova is a serene Lilac Fairy, Nancy Osbaldeston the crisp stand-out of a desirable quintet of fairies, and Yonah Acosta (nephew of the great Carlos) a simply stupendous Bluebird.
